There
is an overwhelming increase in the number of vehicles cries-crossing the
national roads. The present-day vehicles with efficient accelerating capacity
even though added with easy maneuverability safe driving has become impossible.
Further the callous attitude of person on the steering makes it more difficult
to locate persons in hit and run case. During accidents the law enforcement
agencies also find it difficult to pin point the exact reason of accident due
to non availability of evidence and hence they are forced relay on
circumstantial evidence.
Here in our project named the
“Automobile Black Box” we have tried our best to incorporate all relevant
details required in the event of an accident also to alert the driver as and
when required. An RFID receiver and transmitter attached to vehicles may read
the details of vehicles passing along side.
This may enable each car to identify and store data in respect of the
vehicle passing beside it instantaneously which enables the authorities to
locate the vehicles in case of hit and run cases. This system with its in built
sensors senses and also stores the sound inside the vehicles immediately on
occurrence of accident. Further this system
may alert the driver in case the driver gets either sleepy or unconscious. The
system through the GSM module alert pre fixed numbers in case of an accident
and the GPS system incorporated therein exactly pin pints the location.
The entire project revolves round
PIC microcontroller which in turn collects details from all the sensors as well
as other devices attached to it. The intelligent software embedded in the
system take care of each activity once these data are converted. We are sure that this system can be
miniaturized by using SMD components enabling the user to fix the same at
appropriate locations in the vehicles. By enhancing the memory system can also
incorporate various functions including auto piloting.
